I’m Natalie, a writer, photographer, and lifelong caregiver with a heart for the stories that make us human.
I’ve spent much of my life caring for others. My years in healthcare taught me that every person carries a story—some spoken freely, others held quietly beneath the surface.
Along the way, I’ve discovered that some of life’s greatest lessons come not from having all the answers, but from learning to live honestly with the questions.
That is where my writing begins.
Why I Write
I write about faith, resilience, caregiving, belonging, and the extraordinary beauty hidden within ordinary life.
I’m drawn to the moments we might otherwise overlook: a meaningful conversation, a small act of kindness, a difficult beginning, or the courage it takes to try again.
My Christian faith shapes the way I understand grace, hope, and the possibility of renewal.
I believe our stories matter—not because they are perfect, but because they are real.
And I believe that sometimes finding our way forward begins with finding our way home.
Through My Lens
Photography is another way I tell stories.
I love capturing moments, expressions, and collecting memories—the fleeting beauty of something that might never happen quite the same way again.
A gravel road stretching toward the horizon. Sunlight across the prairie. The personality revealed in someone’s smile.
For me, photography and writing belong together. Both invite us to slow down, pay attention, and recognize the wonder already surrounding us.
Welcome Home — My Book in Progress
I’m currently developing Welcome Home, a collection of personal reflections exploring faith, caregiving, healing, and the courage to begin again.
The book follows a journey that has become central to my writing: learning that the tenderness we extend to others is something we can learn to offer ourselves.
It’s a story about grace, perseverance, and discovering that returning isn’t the same as starting over.
