Welcome Home
Stories of faith, caregiving, healing, and the courage to return.

Welcome. I’ve spent much of my life caring for others. Along the way, I’ve been learning to offer that same tenderness to myself. Welcome Home is a place for the small, faithful steps that carry us toward healing, belonging, and a life we can inhabit more fully.
Through stories of perseverance, grace, and ordinary moments of courage, Welcome Home explores what it means to begin again—not by erasing our past, but by discovering the meaning within it.
Sometimes finding our way home begins with simply returning.
Start Here: Five Reflections
These are already-published reflections that offer a glimpse into the themes behind Welcome Home. They are companions to the developing book, not chapters from the private manuscript. You can begin anywhere; here is one path through them.
1. Begin with one small step
Half a Block — An invitation to notice courage in the small beginnings that are easy to overlook.
2. Learn the grace of receiving
The Feast That Teaches Receiving — A reflection on the difference between carrying everything and allowing yourself to be nourished.
3. Make room for the caregiver, too
Healing the Healer — Exploring how caring for others and learning to care for ourselves can belong to the same story.
4. Find your way back without starting over
Beginning Again Is Not Starting Over — A reminder that returning is not failure, and growth does not require erasing the road behind us.
5. Return with a prayer
A Prayer for Returning Home — A quiet place to end the reading journey, or to begin it again.
Go Deeper: A Three-Part Journey
The five-story guide above is a gentle place to begin. If you would like to spend more time with these themes, follow this nine-story path through the published reflections.
Part I — The Care We Carry
Begin with the caregiver, the person behind the role, and the discovery that your own needs deserve care.
Part II — The Practice of Returning
Explore grace, new beginnings, and the ordinary moments that help us find our way back.
Part III — Learning to Belong
Rest in the gifts that do not have to be earned: love, safety, belonging, and the invitation to return to God.
What Home Means Here
Home is not always a place. Sometimes it is being able to rest, to be known, to notice what is good, or to take the next faithful step. These reflections trace the path from tending to others toward extending that same care and grace inward.

Still Becoming
Welcome Home is a book in progress. As its story takes shape, this page will offer a doorway into the already-published writing that inspired it. Thank you for reading along.
With grace and gratitude, Natalie
