Father, I come to You today knowing that the door is still open—that I don’t have to have everything figured out before I walk through it.
I confess that I’ve wandered, that I’ve spent energy trying to understand people who were never going to give me the answers I needed. I’ve looked for home in relationships that could never hold me, and I’ve carried shame that told me I needed to fix myself before I could come back to You.
But I’m learning that home isn’t a place I arrive at after I’ve become healed enough—it’s something I can inhabit right now, even while I’m still learning. Teach me to tend what’s in front of me: my space, my heart, the people You’ve placed nearby. Help me recognize that my hands can build the life my mind hasn’t finished understanding yet.
Thank You that You meet me in temporary places, messy places, uncertain places. Thank You that I belong to You, and that this belonging doesn’t depend on perfect circumstances or a flawless past. I’m coming home—to You, to truth, to the ordinary life that’s mine to steward—and I’m learning that every return is practice.
I rest in knowing that I am held, that I am known, and that Your grace invites me home again and again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
