Paint the Day: A Morning Invitation to Start Again
“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

There is a quiet holiness in the first light of morning.
Before the noise.
Before the remembering.
Before the weight of yesterday settles back onto our shoulders.
There is a moment.
A breath.
A blank canvas.
And in that moment, we are invited to co-create.
Not with perfection.
Not with pressure.
But with presence.
God—the original Artist—places the brush in our hands.
Not to paint flawless strokes,
but to pour our spirit into the day.
To color it with grace.
With courage.
With whatever hue our heart is holding.
Even if that hue feels heavy.
Even if it’s uncertain.
You are the artist of your day.
You are not defined by yesterday’s palette.
You are not bound by past blunders or borrowed expectations.
You are free to start again.
Let go of the old nonsense.
Release the fret and anxiety that try to invade your sacred space.
Let your spirit rise—
too high to be cumbered.
This day is too dear.
Too full of hope.
Too rich with divine invitation.
So paint it boldly.
Paint it gently.
Paint it with light.
And when the day ends—
finish it.
Be done with it.
You have done what you can.
Tomorrow waits with open arms.
