✨ A Journal Prayer from My Heart – July 14

Talk to me, Lord.

Help me hear Your voice more clearly.
Help me fight against my flesh and any forces working against Your plan for my life.

Protect me from evil—and from places or people that are not safe.

Help me tune out distractions, know You more deeply, and focus on what truly matters.

Heal my brain from trauma and scarring.
Break every stronghold within me.
Please forgive me, and help me crucify the things that grieve Your heart.

Teach me obedience to Your calling.
Show me where to go and what to do.

I’m listening.

Amen.

📖 Act Now: Reflections on 1 Peter 3:18–20

“[Christ] went and preached to the spirits in prison. They disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently. This was in the days of Noah while the ark was being built.”
— 1 Peter 3:19–20

There’s a deep urgency in this passage.

Peter doesn’t call believers to merely understand the gospel—he urges us to act on it.

As I read today, these words echoed in my heart:

  • “The lost world needs to hear His gospel.”
  • “People are dying who have never heard the good news of salvation.”
  • “If our beliefs do not motivate us, we will not share the gospel.”

It’s time to stop hesitating.

The ark is being built.
The window is open.
Act now.

🔑 The Key to It All: Trusting God

“Without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.”
— Hebrews 11:6

Faith isn’t just agreement with doctrine—it’s saying yes to a Person.

One line struck me deeply:

“Trusting God is the key to every person’s relationship with Him.”

I’ve tried to figure everything out on my own.

I’ve wondered why things happened the way they did.
I’ve thought about how to fix the mess.
I’ve tried to hold everything together.

But God isn’t asking me to understand.

He’s asking me to trust.

And honestly?
That’s harder—but it’s also far more freeing.

🌕 Corrie ten Boom’s Legacy – July 14–15 Reflections

Corrie ten Boom’s writings have always moved me, and over these two days, her words have settled deeply into my spirit.

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”

July 14

Through the blood of Christ, I am already inside the circle of His love.

It is also the circle of His purpose.

I don’t need to strive for a place I already belong to.
His love is the shelter I live from—not the reward I work toward.

July 15

Life still feels like a maze.

I wrestle with the why behind suffering, silence, and slow seasons.

But Corrie reminds us: God does not make mistakes.

We not understand the aim of the path, but He sees the end of it clearly.

“The foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”
— 1 Corinthians 1:25

🙏 Final Prayer

Lord,

Keep me inside the circle of Your love today.

When I question the turns, hold my hand.
When I feel like I’ve hit a dead end, be the light that leads me through.

I trust You—not because I understand You,
but because I know You.

And that is enough.

Amen.

Amen.
